Richard and Angela wanted to move away from their traditional pen and paper diary and focus their attentions online. They understood that moving their operations online would free them up from taking all their bookings via telephone and enable them to spend more time on the restaurant floor with their customers. Having an online presence would also help to advertise their restaurant during quieter times by displaying special offers online for early and mid week sessions. Previous marketing efforts consisted of advertisement space in various annual magazine subscriptions with no real understanding of the return on this investment. A main objective for Richard and Angela was to find a measurable and cost effective solution for their marketing needs.
