Originally using OpenTable as their online bookings system, The Ship were looking for a more efficient system that captured customers on both their own website and third party destination sites. The booking process needed to be engaging to make a safe and secure reservation, yet not too long that visitors would lose attention or be taken elsewhere to complete the transaction.
Although there were no real challenges in taking bookings for this popular gastro pub, the new reservation system would need to be quick, easy and effective for The Ship’s existing and new online and mobile customers.
