Formed in 2002, Tragus is one of the UK's largest independently owned restaurant chain operators with approximately 300 sites across the country serving over 21 million meals every year. The portfolio of brands, operated as four divisions includes: Café Rouge, Strada, Bella Italia and the Brasseries. Cuisine ranges from inspired pizza and pasta to delicious French classics.
Tragus Group had a significant need to reduce the time taken to confirm bookings and placed a strong emphasis on user experience, brand promise and building customer loyalty. Bookings were taken through multiple channels and resulted in a time consuming confirmation booking process. They needed an automated electronic reservation system to overcome this issue, whilst enhancing the customer experience.
As the hospitality industry evolves, restaurants are faced with the challenge of converting their systems and processes to embrace modern technology. Tragus Group didn’t have the technology in place to generate online bookings. All of their bookings were generated by phone, email, fax and walk-in trade. Their objective of instant booking confirmations needed to be fulfilled with a reliable, user-friendly, sustainable, affordable solution that could be easily scalable to their 300 restaurants.
