Livebookings seats a record number of diners, outpacing nearest competitors in key European markets
Livebookings, a global leader in online reservations and marketing services for restaurants, today announced continued success in leveraging its market leading position:
-- Its total number of seated diners in Europe grew organically to 2.8 million in the third quarter of 2011, representing growth of 87% year-over-year and, entering what is Livebookings' seasonally strongest quarter, nearly 30% year-to-date.
-- The average number of seated European diners delivered by Livebookings in the seasonally slower summer quarter was 297 per restaurant, representing growth of 58% year-over-year and 12% year-to-date.
Livebookings continues to expand its leading position in Europe. Livebookings' consumer brand, www.bookatable.de, is now the top destination for consumers looking for real-time restaurant information and reservations in Germany.
In Q3 Livebookings achieved record growth in the number of covers delivered to restaurants in Germany, with total covers of 353,000 up 8% and restaurants receiving an average of 183 seated diners up 9% over the previous quarter.
In addition, Livebookings is set to launch Freebookings, an entry-level restaurant reservation service in the US in Q4 2011.
"Livebookings' growth in Europe continues to demonstrate strong momentum, as we deliver an average of 297 diners to our restaurant partners this quarter, significantly more than our nearest competitor in Europe," said Colin Tenwick, CEO of Livebookings. "We are encouraged by the growth of online reservations in the European market, which is generating significant revenue for our partner restaurants."
