Matthew Aubrey-Batchelor joins to develop the services offered to restaurants
Livebookings, the online marketing experts for restaurants, today announces the appointment of Matthew Aubrey-Batchelor as Chief Technology Officer. Matthew joins the London head office team to manage Livebookings’ software-as-service (SaaS) platform, future technology projects and to ensure restaurant clients continue to be provided with fast and dependable booking services.
Previously Chief Technology Officer at Breakingviews (a subscription service offering comment to businesses on news stories, now owned by Thomson Reuters), Matthew has vast experience in running large scale websites and was a key figure in developing the software that Breakingviews currently boasts.
Commenting on the appointment, David Norris, COO, Livebookings, said: “We’re very excited to be working with Matthew – he has a fantastic pedigree in improving businesses’ online service and ensuring customer satisfaction is always high.”
David Norris continued: “Livebookings is planning to invest in major technology projects through 2010 and beyond, and Matthew will be managing our extended development team to deliver innovation that will benefit the restaurants we work with and the diners who book through our services.”
Speaking about his new appointment to Livebookings, Matthew commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Livebookings at such an exciting time. The business is changing the way that restaurants take bookings and encouraging many to use direct online marketing for the first time. A relatively small number of restaurants are currently using their websites to take reservations, so the potential for growth in this market is significant and I look forward to being a part of it.”
