Restaurants increasingly choose Livebookings to boost their business in tough times

26 July 2011

Livebookings today releases its latest figures, demonstrating an increasing demand for innovative online reservation and marketing solutions as the restaurant sector accelerates its adoption of online booking technology and social media marketing.

In what many commentators have described as the toughest trading conditions in years, the number of restaurants using Livebookings exceeded 9,000 in the quarter ending June 11, with the number of diners delivered in the quarter hitting a record 2.6million - up 100% on the same period a year ago, and up 12% sequentially from Q1 2011.

In addition, the number of bookings made on a mobile device has accelerated to over 8% since the beginning of the year, demonstrating the rapid changes in the way consumers are choosing to interact with restaurants when researching and booking.

The company continues to win market share, with approximately 40% more restaurants using its services than its nearest competitor, delivering 55% more diners to restaurants than a year ago on a like for like basis.
